I arrived in Watford when I was 3 months old in the mid-60s, schooled locally in North Watford and Garston and went to college in Watford.

I worked for the NHS at Watford General Hospital for about 2 years before changing career direction to work at British Waterways. In 2012, British Waterways became a Trust and is now known as the Canal & River Trust and has over 2,000 miles of canals and river navigations in England and Wales.  I work in a commercial role which sells canal water that is surplus to our navigational requirements.  I look after the Trust’s contracts portfolio in this area along with compliance.

I have 2 adult children.  I enjoy music and am in two local community choirs, I love gardening.  I also enjoy exercise classes to keep fit and walking in our lovely Cassiobury Park and neighbouring Whippendell Woods and further afield too.

I came to faith as a child in an Anglican setting in North Watford.  I was baptised, confirmed and married at St Peter’s and am still a member of the church family today. I am also associated with St Lawrence’s church as both churches are involved with a project that raises vital funds for a hospital and secondary school in Malosa, southern Malawi.

I am the newest Trustee for the Chaplaincy and am very much looking forward to working with the other Trustees and our Lead Chaplain, Geert and Admin Pam and the rest of our dedicated chaplains.
